Dr. Hyama, the head surgeon on this case, directed the removal of the NG tube threaded through Judith's nose and into her stomach. For the first time in weeks, she is now completely off suction, and seems to be doing well.
She is sleeping a lot, probably due to the chemotherapy.
If all continues to go well, she will be home by the end of this week. (She has been in the hospital for almost a month! -- At $11,000 per day!!!!!)
I'm sure the insurance company hates us.
F___k them.

Hi Wes,
So glad to hear the tubes are out and the wound is healed. Amazing!
I hope she's home by Friday.
And yes, the loneliness of the caregiver just ain't fair. Wish you didn't have to be dealing with that.
Please give my love to Judith and say hello to her mother.
Take care,
Joan
