Both the surgeon and the oncologist were in to see Judith today. On the positive side, her wound continues healing, but the positive effects of the chemotherapy have worn off, and the cancer has "returned". She has chosen to resume the chemotherapy tomorrow in the hospital. Although it certainly won't help the wound healing, the doctors feel that it won't really hurt it much. Judith and I fear the nasty effects of the chemotherapy, but there is no other choice.
We don't have any idea of how much longer she will be allowed to remain in the hospital, but I would expect her to return home late this week or early next week.
Sorry if I sound grim, but both of us are pretty scared.
I'll try to keep this updated as we get more information.
A BIG THANKS to Amy for setting up this blog!
