BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE

The news is not good. The surgeon is extremely reluctant to perform surgery to close the wound. His new resident is trying a new type of drainage tube, which was placed less than a hour ago, but doesn't seem to be doing the job. Everyone agrees that Judith cannot stay in the hospital, but can't find the right specialized nurse to care for her at home. And no one wants to discharge her and have her back in the ER hours or days later.

A rock and a hard place, but SOMETHINGS got to happen!

Saturday was another Shabbat with many members of our synagogue filling Judith's room with friendship, love and joy (including a visit by two three month old twins born to dear friends). I'm hoping to get help in posting some photos of some of this sometime soon.

Thanks for all the positive feedback from readers of this blog. I'll surely keep you posted.

WES (aka the sleepless one)
