Due to her weakened state, the doctors have decided to give Judith a more gentle form of chemotherapy, which is scheduled to begin today and last through Friday. We don't exactly know what that means, but just have to feel that they know what they are doing and that it will be beneficial. In the meantime, the special nurse working on healing Judith's wound (the reason she has been in the hospital for three weeks), says that the wound is healing extremely well and that she expects it to heal completely. This is great news, because the team has been saying that they didn't know whether that was a reasonable goal up to this point. No idea about how long Judith will remain at UCLA hospital, or what we will be dealing with when she returns home.
Judith's mom is coming in a couple of days, which will be a great help.

Judele,
May you be blessed with the continued courage and strength to achieve a full and speedy recovery of body, mind and soul. May G-d grant you long life and the acknowledgment of the precious gift of love you have given to so many- including our family. We are truly honored to be a part of your amazing world- a world where you have bestowed blessing and tenderness.
Love Chayim, Marsi, Mandi and Molli
Dearest Judith and Wes,
I just this minute got your blog info from Claudia (she and Mark were out here last week taking Byron to Hampshire College. We had a wonderful night out with them and a couple of friends of theirs, and expect them back to stay with us in October).
Claudia updated me on the latest news from the doc. I just wanted to tell you that I love you and wish you strength over these next days.
Love Jane and Brian
