What a pleasure. Judith's brother is here from Toronto to help me and Judith's mom handle all the tasks. And the new nurse is just great! She hasn't solved all the problems yet, but is getting there.
Saturday the usual Shabbat visitors from our congregation spent the afternoon with Judith in our beautiful garden overlooking the mountains and the ocean in perfect weather, instead of in a hospital room. THAT felt normal.
It was so calm and under control today that I was able to go hiking and to the gym. THAT also felt normal.
What is not normal is that Judith is still suffering a great deal from the effects of the tumors, and she is weak and uncomfortable. We are working on getting her up and walking and trying to build up her energy a little.
Tomorrow her sister-in-law Joanne arrives from Toronto. She and Judith are very close, and her visit will give Judith a further boost.
