REPORT FROM LONDON

The British Pound is falling. . .

REPORT FROM PACIFIC PALISADES, CALIFORNIA

Judith's pounds are also falling.

Judith's terrible, uncomfortable weight gain of 2 or 3 pounds a day has been reversed with medications and a reduction of sugar-loaded nutrition, and Judith has been LOSING 2 to 3 pounds a day for the past few days.

In addition, we have put aside our prejudices about the word "hospice", and Judith, her brother David, Greg and I spent a few hours today with the executive director/nurse from one of those fine organizations. It was extremely helpful. Finally we have encountered someone knowledgeable to answer all our questions about what lies ahead and what are our options.

I will report on all that once we sort it out and make some decisions.

In the meantime, Judith had a much better weekend, joined by her twin brother from Toronto and many, many dear friends and family members. The antibiotics seem to be making a difference and she looks and feels a little better.

I'm exhausted and barely able to write this, but Ruth and Cecil Herschler called from their trip in India to complain that I hadn't blogged since Friday.

The pressure.

The pressure.
